If you have a small channel starting out then Reddit and discord can help you get a little attention to it, but those places (and every place else) are filled with masses of people screaming to get a little bit of attention for their video as well And almost nobody in those masses of people are looking to spend even a second's worth of attention on the videos of other people they only want

Reddit is okay, but very few subreddits allow you to really post a bunch of videos, or even self-promote They are very strict with that type of stuff, so if you don't want to promote where you really need to research what you'll say or do with each post; I would maybe recommend Facebook Groups Pages, they are much more relaxed with sharing or promoting, especially if you're in a community

I get a lot of external views from Reddit that puts a lot of ups and downs on my views But if I isolate just my suggested and browse traffic, it's clear Youtube is promoting me more and more So I guess what you're suggesting is that Youtube tries to regulate our browse suggested total so we get the right amount of traffic depending on our rank

By default, your video is set to Private as soon as you start uploading it If you set it to Private, it just remains so When you first make a video Public or Unlisted, it publishes it and that's when it notifies your subscribers, though I don't think Unlisted ones will notify them, but it still becomes published at this time The video receives a published date on it as well Setting it to
